Doodleiciousness!

Where has the summer gone?? I've spent it knee-deep in developing a couple new projects and working on my website redesign for ChariPere.com. Updates will be happening very soon! In the meantime, here are a couple of quickies I did. One is a new promotional portfolio image. The other is a doggie doodle I absolutely adore! Enjoy. =0)

The American Idol Season 10 "Dark Horse"

Today's warm up drawing featured American Idol's Haley Reinhart, my American Idol Seaon 10 favorite. I just can't get her cover of "House of the Rising Sun" out of my head. I haven't had this much musical inspiration since Cee Lo's "Forget You", and I haven't had this much fun doing a caricature since... oh, well I guess Cee Lo's yesterday. =0)

The NEW NBC Peacock

It's only two episodes into NBC's The Voice, but I'm loving it already. Just a good, fun show, with a fresh cast of "coaches" (NOT judges - though they have more critique in two episodes than the Amerian Idol judges have had all season).

When the Twitter account for the show asked "Can someone please do an original drawing for us of @CeeLoGreen dressed as a peacock? #thanks #thevoice", you betcha I wanted to draw something! Talk about drawing what you love - not only are my husband and I obsessed with "Forget you", but in recent years I've formed a fondness for the pretty plumed poultry. So here's my quick take on it:

The winner of the 10-week contest receives a Development Contract with Creators Syndicate. The Bun Bunch comic features the “tales” of an All-American family of white rabbits who move to the multi-cultural neighborhood of Plainsview.
